About Me

pauldavidart
From the late 1970's to early 1980's I studied drawing and some painting under the great artists Max Ginsburg and the late Irwin "Greeny" Greenberg at New York City's High School of Art & Design. I then had careers in film production, comic book retailing, music distribution, and finally was a collectible/used book dealer on Long Island, with one of the last brick and mortar stores of it's kind in the tri-state region. Thanks to the encouragement of my wife, I took up oil painting again in 2009. I've since been happy to claim Howard Rose, Marc Josloff, Paul Bachem and Robert Silverman as teachers. I'm a firm believer in the timelessness of representational art, whether via realism, impressionism or illustration techniques.
